There are many good things said about Montenegro.

 | KotorKotor is one of the best preserved medieval ports in Europe. Cruise ship passengers disembark in the afternoons… day-trippers arrive from Croatia… With lively street life, Kotor can get noisy at night so consider sleeping in one of the neighboring seaside villages (like Dobrota and Perast)

Montenegro could be one of the hidden jewels of the region.
I think that Bosnia & Herzegovina could be too (but I’m not getting there on this trip). Croatia is definitely a jewel but so are the prices!
I am hoping to find the Croatia of old in Montenegro… Croatia at a better price…
My target is the whole of the Adriatic coast. Budva gets mixed reviews. My main target is Kotor and its surrounds.
I doubt that I’ll have time to get inland but I will if I can.
The next stop in my journey will be Greece.
